Your safety is our priority…
If you feel you are in a situation where you or other road users are at risk, including in the live lane of a motorway or dual carriageway, keep your seatbelt fastened, put your hazard lights on, and call 999 immediately.
If it is possible to drive your vehicle to a safer location, please do so.
It might be dangerous to stay in your vehicle; if you can safely exit it, do so via the door furthest away from traffic, whatever the weather. Move away from the vehicle and wait behind any safety barrier using the embankment.
Do not attempt repairs on a motorway or anywhere near moving traffic.
